The Apostles' Doctrine
THE BIBLE (Authorized King James Translation):
(Psalms 119:89; Proverbs 3:5-8; 2Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 13:8; 2Peter 1:20-21; Revelation 22:18-19)
We know the (KJV) Bible is the unadulterated, unchanging, and infallible Word of God forever settled in Heaven, written by Holy men as inspired by the Holy Ghost, and is the standard which all must live by in order to have eternal life. Complete total obedience to God is our only way to Heaven.
JESUS IS GOD (Oneness):
(Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 1:18-23, John 1:1-14, John 10:30, John 14:6-11, Acts 2:38, Acts 4:10-12, Colossians 1:15-20, Colossians 2:8-9, Ephesians 4:5-6, 1Timothy 3:16, 1John 5:7)
The Bible says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, and the Word became flesh and walked among us.” The Bible teaches that Jesus is God, and in Him dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Jesus was/is the Mighty God and Everlasting Father, teaching His Apostles that if they have seen Him they have seen the Father for the Father was in Him (in flesh).
Jesus was called Emmanuel, which means “God with us”, to redeem and save His people (the sheep of His pasture), to give us Eternal Life with our Creator and Savior, YHWH. Jesus Christ is the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, so we baptize in His name. The Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost bear record in Heaven and these three are One. One Lord, One Faith. The Lord our God is One.
God was manifested in the flesh as Jesus purchasing us with His blood on the cross, also manifesting Himself as the Holy Ghost who is the Spirit of God. God is sovereign, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, and Creator of the universe and all existing in it. In the second coming of Christ He will rapture His Saints judging every soul on Judgment Day. Hell is for all sinners. Heaven is for His Saints.
ORDINANCES (Holy Communion, Feet Washing, 7th Day Sabbath, Baptism in the name of Jesus Christ / Lord Jesus):
(Exodus 20:8-11 & 34:28; Esther 4:16; Matthew 6:16-18 & 28:19; Mark 16:15-16; Luke 4:2 & 4:15-21; John 13:1-15; Acts 2:38; Acts 13:14 &13:42; Romans 6:3-4; 1Corinthians 11:23-34)
We follow the example of Jesus in the taking of Communion (only those who are saved), Feet Washing, Water Baptism through submersion in the name of Jesus Christ (only the saved; but no babies), and keeping the Sabbath (7th day of the week). We practice Biblical fasting - a set time period of NO food, NO drink, NO entertainment (i.e. TV, computer, etc.), no sex, recreational activity, etc. It's a time of prayer, study, and consecration.
(2Chronicles 16:12-14; Jeremiah 17:5-8; Psalms 37:25; Matthew 6:25-33 & 17:17-21; Mark 5:25-34 & 16:17-18; 2Corinthians 10:3-6; Romans 10:17;
Hebrews 11:1-40; James 1:6 & 5:13-15)
We know that without faith, which is demonstrated through works, that it is otherwise impossible to please God. We believe in trusting God and Him alone for healing (we do not use doctors or medicine), protection (no carnal weapons), and supplying all of our needs (food, shelter, clothing) all for both us and our families and children. Faith is the evidence of things not seen, and demonstrated by works as faith is proven by our works.
(Genesis 14:20; Exodus 34:26; Deuteronomy 28:1-2 & 15; Leviticus 27:30-31; Proverbs 3:9; Malachi 3:6-12; Matthew 5:17; Mark 12:17; Luke 6:38;
2Corinthians 9:6-8; Hebrews 7:1-9)
We obey the Word of God in paying 10% of our increase (gross pay) as tithes to God and an offering as God has blessed us to give. Paying tithes and offerings are NOT an option but a commandment of God and is a difference between those who are blessed and those who will be cursed. God commands us to that the first-fruit of our increase and the tithe are His, and to "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse". Give little in the offering and you will reap little; give abundantly in the offering and be blessed as such. Nowhere in Scripture are we told not to tithe anymore.
Jesus commanded, "Render unto God the things that are God's" when speaking of money. Tithes and offering are to pay the bills and expenses (mortgage/rent, utilities, etc...) of the church, in addition to providing funds to assist those who are TRULY in need on the rare occasion that the church is called upon to help an individual member or their immediate family in extreme emergency cases. We give not to have a say in church affairs, but because God in His Word commands us, and commands that we give cheerfully so. Try Him and He will open the windows of Heaven.
MARRIAGE (One [male-born biological] man and one [female-born biological] woman ONLY!):
(Genesis 1:27, 2:21-25, 3:16-17 & 19:4-25; Leviticus 18:22; Proverbs 31:10-31; Matthew 5:27-28, 5:31-32; 1Corinthians 6:9-10, 7, 11:3 & 11:9;
Romans 1:18-32 & 7:1-4 & 12:2; Ephesians 5:22-33; 1Peter 3:1-7)
We know marriage to be between one MAN and one WOMAN only, MALE with FEMALE – no exceptions - as anything else is an abomination unto God and we will not tolerate any deviance! HUSBAND and WIFE become one (in flesh, mind, and spirit – on one accord). The husband is to love his wife and give himself to her as Christ does the church. The wife is to love, honor, submit to and obey her husband (when he leads in the will of God) and be his help-meet. Husband and wife should pray, fast, do Bible study, attend church, and make love together regularly as a couple continuing to date each other, ensuring they meet each other's needs spiritually, emotionally, physically, sexually, forsaking all others, loving and being faithful to each other. God ordained marriage to be a loving, romantic, devoted, committed, monogamous, Holy union of two united as one.
The wife’s body belongs to her husband, and the husband’s body belongs to his wife; sex (or love making) is required by God between the two as an expression of love - and never to be denied - and is only allowed within this union. Your husband/wife is to come before ALL others (children, family, friends, etc...), aside from God, as you are one flesh ONLY with him/her. Marriage is to be a lifetime monogamous committed union. Adultery and a backslidden or unsaved spouse who chooses to leave are the only Biblical grounds for divorce. Only the spouse who was cheated on, or is the saved of the two, are free to remarry. Marriage has been created, ordained, and is governed by God and His Word (King James Bible), not civil government. God is the one who created marriage not as a government civil contract, but for love, companionship, and reproduction.
We will obey GOD and not man (Acts 5:29). We're in the world but not of this world, according to John 17:14-16, and 1John 2:15-17. We will uphold marriage according to God's perfect will as ONLY being between ONE MAN (biologically born male) and ONE WOMAN (biologically born female). We will ONLY perform THESE weddings and ONLY recognize and ONLY acknowledge such as MARRIAGE, in monogamy ONLY. We will never accept nor condone nor acknowledge anything else (two men, two women, transgenderism, polygamy, bestiality, adult & child, incest, etc...) regardless of what laws government, courts/judges, or humans may pass. We're commanded by God to abide by the order God set and ordained and always will.
CHILDREN & DISCIPLINE:
(Exodus 20:12; Proverbs 13:24; Proverbs 22:6 & 22:15; Proverbs 23:13-14; Proverbs 29:15; Ephesians 6:1-4; Hebrews 12:5-11)
Children are to obey their parents, and the parents not to provoke them to wrath; but parents ARE commanded by God to BEAT their children when they are disobedient. We support, advocate, and encourage and teach God's command for corporal punishment. Children must obey their parents as long as what their parents say is in-line with God's Word, and corporal punishment is to be used as re-enforcement to what they have already been taught by their parents but have disobeyed. God commands that we train up children in the way that they should go (Holiness).
SALVATION & SANCTIFICATION (Holiness):
(Exodus 20:1-17; Leviticus 20:7; 2Chronicles 7:14; Matthew 4:17 & 5:48; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:1-15 & 12:1-2; 2Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 5:26-27;
Hebrews 12:14; Colossians 1:28 & 4:12; 1John 3:4-9)
We know salvation comes about when a person makes a conscience decision to turn from a life of sin, and completely surrenders their life to the perfect will of God and of Christ. Sanctification is the separation of the holy from the unholy, and ceasing from (willfully) sinning anymore. One confesses with their mouth, and believes in their heart, lives as perfect and new creatures, and lives as we are taught to live by the Word of God. Biblical Salvation requires that we repent and turn away from all wicked ways, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and receive the Holy Ghost.
WOMEN IN MINISTRY (no women preachers):
(Genesis 3:1-17; Exodus 15:20-21, Isaiah 3:12; Mark 3:13-19; Acts 6:2-7 & 18:2-26 & 21:9; 1Corinthians 11:3 & 11:8-9; 1Corinthians 14:33-40 & 16:19;
1Timothy 2:3-14 & 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-9 & 2:3-8; Revelation 2:18-23)
We know the Word of God forbids women from having authority over a man. A woman CAN NOT be a teacher, Deacon, Minister, Evangelist, Elder, Pastor, Bishop, Prophet, nor Apostle as the scriptural qualifications of these require the person to be a male. Women ARE NOT permitted to preach nor teach before a congregation, assembly, or church, and are NOT to usurp authority over nor teach a man. A woman may be a Prophetess (NOT a Prophet) to prophesy, be witnesses to win souls for Christ, and compel other to assemble. One must be ordained to preach, and women cannot be.
Deaconess and missionary DO NOT exist in the Bible. Women may be referred to as Sister (younger women), Mother (older women), or Prophetess. There are NO scriptures stating that a woman was ever called by God to preach, ordained to preach (a requirement in order to preach), nor actually preached. The Bible does clearly instruct the older women teach to teach the younger women to be (first) godly women, (second) good, loving, submissive and obedient wives to their own husband, and be chaste, (third) helpmeets, (fourth) keepers at home, and (fifth) good mothers.
(Exodus 20:3-17; Leviticus 12:1-5; 18:1-5; 19:28-31; Deuteronomy 18:10-13; Deuteronomy 22:5; Jeremiah 10:1-4; Ecclesiastes 9:4-6; Mark 11:15-17;
John 2:13-16 & 18:36; John 17:14-16; Acts 5:29; Romans 12:1-2; 1Corinthians 11:4-7; 2Corinthians 6:14-18; 1Timothy 2:9-10; 1John 2:15-17)
We believe in Saints refraining from satanic practices: occult, fortune tellers, Ouija boards, horoscopes, voodoo, psychics, séances, participating in Halloween and/or Christmas (and trees), Easter, secular holidays, proms, swimming, dances/parties, alcohol, smoking, tattoos, body art, piercings. Buying and selling in or for the church are not permitted as it is the ‘House of Prayer’. Entertainment such as miming, dance teams, praise dancers, fashion shows, plays, modeling, rapping, etc... are strictly forbidden. Only preaching, prayer, Biblical praise, and weddings are permitted in church.
Men are not to dress in women’s clothing or anything resembling women's attire (i.e. dresses, blouses, skirts, heels, make-up, earrings, wigs, purse, etc.), nor have long hair, braids, dreadlocks, etc. FEMALES ARE NOT TO WEAR PANTS OF ANY KIND, shorts, skorts, culottes, etc., nor any revealing or tight clothing displaying her flesh, body parts, or emphasizing her shape/curves, no splits, skirts or dresses above the knee, tops showing any cleavage, swimsuits, etc. Likewise, females are not to wear anything pertaining to the man's garment. FEMALES ARE NOT TO CUT THEIR HAIR, nor wear weaves or extentions or tracks, for her hair is both her covering and a glory unto her. She is not to have broided or braided hair. A hat or scarf is not required to be worn. Women are not allowed in the church building for 40 days after giving birth to a son and 80 days with a daughter.
We refrain from any voting, elections, politics, serving on juries, serving in any military or war or drafts, or law enforcement (police, etc...) as these things are not pleasing to God. No matter what man's laws say, we will always obey God's Word & God's law over man. The Bible is all we will obey.
